The PHOENIX House (March 5, 2018)
ARTICLE 1: NAME
The name of this body shall be PHOENIX House. Upon approval, these bylaws will become the operative guidelines for PHOENIX House.
ARTICLE 2: MISSION
PHOENIX House will facilitate the growth and enhancement of Clubhouse International Standards-based Clubhouse programs by supporting people with mental illness to improve their lives.
ARTICLE 3: JURISDICTION
The territory for the association’s jurisdiction is Taylor, Jones and Nolen counties Texas.
ARTICLE 4: MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to all persons within the jurisdiction with a verifiable mental health condition who:
- Follow the Clubhouse International Standards.
- Regularly attend/participate in PHOENIX House programs and activities.
- Have a current Person-Centered Plan (if being discharged from Hospital).
ARTICLE 5: MEETINGS
PHOENIX House will meet monthly on the first Monday.
ARTICLE 6: COMMITTEES
The creation and dissolution of Standing Committees will be determined by consensus of PHOENIX House membership at regularly scheduled meetings. Special notification of proposed standing committee changes will be sent by email/mail to general membership a minimum of two weeks prior to the next meeting.
